Minor in Leadership Online at PBA
The Online Leadership Minor at Palm Beach Atlantic University equips students to lead with integrity, purpose, and faith. Grounded in Christian principles, this flexible, fully online program develops leaders who are not only strategically capable but also spiritually grounded. Designed to complement any major, the minor emphasizes self-leadership, ethical decision-making, and the ability to influence others in a variety of organizational and cultural contexts.
Through academically rigorous coursework and a Christ-centered framework, students gain the practical skills and biblical insight needed to navigate today’s leadership challenges with wisdom, humility, and conviction.
What You’ll Learn in the Online Leadership Minor
The Online Leadership Minor provides a Christ-centered foundation in leadership theory and practice, preparing students to lead with authenticity, purpose, and spiritual integrity across a range of organizational settings. Through a combination of core and elective courses, students will:

Develop a Biblical Understanding of Leadership: Examine foundational Christian leadership principles, focusing on spiritual formation, character, and ethical decision-making.

Explore Leadership Theories and Styles: Gain insight into a variety of leadership models and styles, assessing their practical applications and alignment with biblical values.

Strengthen Core Leadership Competencies: Build skills in self-leadership, team collaboration, and strategic influence, grounded in both theory and practice.

Understand Organizational Behavior: Analyze how individuals and groups function within organizations, and apply effective management and communication strategies in complex environments.

Create a Personal Leadership Development Plan: Design a personalized roadmap for growth that reflects best practices and individual strengths as an emerging Christian leader.
Students will also choose from a range of upper-level electives to further tailor their leadership education to their vocational interests and goals.
Note that some of the courses required may only be completed during the summer.

In conjunction with earning a bachelor’s degree, the Leadership minor provides the opportunity to complete the courses necessary to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead oneself and others and tackle organizational challenges. The minor also enables professionals to serve more effectively in the workplace, family, community, and multicultural environments.
Students should anticipate spreading the coursework for this minor over two academic years.
